Mark started the site in 2003 in Memory of Mercedes, his dog that left before her time. Diagnosed with a mild form of Canine Epilepsy, the dog was put to sleep at the recommendation of his veterinarian. Years later, Mark's mother was treated for epilepsy with 100% success and, as he learned more about the disease, he realized that there had been other alternatives for Mercedes...
